Dumpster Removal
Getting rid of the trash collected in a dumpster is simple as pie: there are service agencies that will be glad to send out trucks to pick up your dumpster and take it to the landfill, empty it, and bring it back where requested. Dumpster removal is sometimes included with the rental price of your dumpster – be sure to read the fine print and inquire about pick up and disposal before committing to a rental financially. If you own your own dumpster your options are limited to either carting the dumpster to the landfill yourself or hiring out to have it dumped at a fee. Though dumpster removal is another expense, the gas savings between hiring out and driving loads of 2 cubic yards of trash at a time over to the landfill in your van or truck are uncanny.
Clearing the Trash Out
At a job site there are naturally going to be messes everywhere: sawdust piles will be by cutting stations, empty paint cans and scrap wood could all be littered about along with about a million other things! When it’s time to bag and toss out the trash, the first advantage of having a dumpster in the first place is that it can be rolled conveniently by the closest window to where you’re working inside, (if you’re inside) or it can be taken to any part of the property where yard clean up or landscaping waste is left. With the right dumpster removal service, clearing out the trash from your dumpster at the end of a project is as simple as dialing your phone and requesting pick up!
Getting the Dumpster Picked Up
While it is pretty straightforward to get your dumpster picked up and dumped, the phone call basically goes like this. First you’ll have to provide the address where the dumpster is currently. Then the company will usually calculate the closest dump nearby for you. You’ll then be asked where you want it dropped off when it’s empty. If you have a storage unit, a garage at your property or where ever you keep your dumpster, that is the address you’ll then provide, (unless the dumpster is going right out to a new project site). Once your identity is verified and payment is made you’ll see the truck shortly thereafter coming for your dumpster!
Economical Dumpster Removal
While the dumpster removal companies are the ideal means of getting your trash out to the local landfill near your home or jobsite, if you’re a contractor, you can invest in a flatbed truck large enough for your dumpster to increase efficiency and cut some cost. Having a flatbed will allow you to cart your own dumpster and skip the fees of the dumpster removal services. Granted, a flatbed truck isn’t cheap but there will be significant savings for not hiring out to have your dumpster emptied. If you anticipate renting out your dumpster at any point or just want to save some scratch, consider getting a flatbed!
